Job Overview:

  • Operate and maintain custom application equipment such as sprayers, spreaders, and other specialized machinery.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other agricultural chemicals according to prescribed procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application rates and coverage.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust application schedules as needed to optimize effectiveness and minimize environmental impact.
  • Keep detailed records of application activities, including product usage, weather conditions, and field conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and exposure to chemicals.
  • Communicate with farm managers, agronomists, and other team members to coordinate application schedules and address any issues or concerns.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to custom application techniques and equipment.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in custom application methods and technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
